“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come” (Luke 4:18,19 NLT).
Basic to our desire for spiritual maturity is an expectation that what we have been awakened to by study and discipline will be transferable to family and others who are part of a personal vision to produce something relevant for our generation. Romans 5:5
Our vision is supernatural and is part of God’s broader vision for us to carry the Lord with us as we go: “Our lives are a fragrance presented by Christ to God…to those who are being saved we are a life-giving perfume.” 2Corinthians 2:15-16
Life-giving is our hope. That hope is not ashamed but continues daily with increased expectation that as God-vision and human-hope converge, the message we live, whether plain-spoken or eloquent, accomplishes the goal: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
Ps Jonathan Darma & Ps Paula Soeganda
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
